Miranda & Andy | Film Wedding at Lindesay House

By Laced in Vows — Sydney Wedding Photography & Videography

An intimate autumn afternoon at Lindesay House in Darling Point — a string trio in the garden, florals arranged by family, and warm autumn light filtering through the heritage gardens. Shot entirely on medium format and 35mm film.

Some weddings just feel different. Miranda and Andy’s was one of them.

The Venue

Lindesay House is one of Sydney’s quietest stunners. A heritage-listed 1830s mansion tucked away in Darling Point, with manicured parterre gardens, sweeping lawns, and uninterrupted views across Sydney Harbour. The kind of place where the sandstone glows in the afternoon light, the gardens hum with bees, and the water sparkles just beyond the hedges. It hosts only twelve weddings a year — which felt fitting for a day this considered.

Inside, the heritage interiors are a slow reveal of warm timber, soft yellow walls, antique furnishings, and Georgian detailing — the kind of rooms that make getting ready feel like a moment in itself. Miranda and her bridal party prepared upstairs, surrounded by the quiet character of a house that has held more than 190 years of stories.

The ceremony took place at the front of the house, beneath the trees and the gravel forecourt, with guests gathered close. Afterwards, everyone moved through to the back — to the garden, the marquee, and the long banquet table set on the lawn — for an unhurried afternoon that drifted gently into evening.

Made by Hand, Made by Family

Every floral arrangement, every styled detail, every little touch of personality across the day was put together by Miranda’s friends and family. There’s a particular kind of warmth that comes from a wedding made by the people who love you most — and you can feel it in every frame.

On Film

Lindesay House and film are a perfect pairing. The warm sandstone, the garden greens, the soft autumn light — medium format and 35mm capture them all in a way digital simply can’t. These are images that will look just as beautiful in thirty years as they do today.
